One of my favorite things to do is to bring a smile to others when they are down.
1. The task usually involves food
2. It might also include something crafty.
I won't disclose who, however I have a friend who is going through some really harsh health trials right now. I remember when everything went crazy with my health a few years back, I had a friend who sent me a care package. It made the things I was experiencing a little lighter, and totally brightened my spirit.
I guess I can say, I feel it my duty to pay it forward ... So I thought I would share a few ideas with you of how to pay it forward to someone you know who is struggling.
I simply just got some fun candy, wrapped it with a little piece of pattern paper, and put a "sweet" thought on each one. I can't say they were overly decorated ... however the thought is what mattered ... right? (at least that is what I keep telling myself!)
1. Before you know it you will be saying: "Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho" it's back to work I go! So enjoy relaxing while you can!
2. Remember that everything happens for a "Riesen"
3. Each day feels like a "Dud" when you're sick. Luckily you have chocolate to get you through.
4. I know you're going through a "Sour Patch" but with faith you'll get through.
5. Bad news makes you feel like saying "Gimme a Break"! With lots of prayers, and a treat, you'll "Crunch" right through it.
6. When you feel like your medical bills are going to be "100 Grand" Read this Scripture: Matt 6:33
7. Proverbs 3:24 - When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid. Yeah thou shalt lie down and thy sleep shalt be "Sweet"
8. When you think that you can't take it anymore, "Chews" to Count your many blessings.

I saw this on pinterest and I loved it! Just curious what you meant by the scripture Matt 3:66... Did you mean read Matt 27:3-66?? I was trying to figure it out. Love how you tie in scripture, blessings and prayers with the candies. Thanks for sharing!
It says Matt 6:33- looks like your eyes played a trick on you. No worries!

It it all about love, so have a "kiss" and delight in His "sweet" love.
Thank you, Nicole for sharing your love!
These r cute! I'm a teacher, and one year a student gave me a bottle of soda and a pkg of microwave popcorn tied together. It said "Pop, pop. Fizz, fizz. Oh what a great teacher you is!" I thought it was cute. An Alkaseltzer commercial throw back and a little bad grammer. Loved it! LOL
my sister just went through a major surgery that will probably make it so she can't have any more children. this is a HUGE upset for her, but thanks to pinterest I have happened upon so many fun ideas to help cheer her up, including your lovely ideas. Thank you!!!
I'll be linking to this great idea this Sunday (8/26) on Latter-day Chatter. Love it if you'd check it out!

Just remember that sometimes when you're going through something really hard and unfair, that you don't always want to be told to "look on the bright side." some of these seem harmless, but they might invalidate someone's totally understandable feelings (sadness, anger, etc). Just keep this in my mind and try to sense where your friend may he at that particular time before you give it. Food is still always good though. And a listening friend. :)
I think this is a fun and thoughtful idea and can be used in many instances.
What a cute idea! Love the verses :)

Sooooo going to do it for someone....

Adorable! These would put a smile on anyone's face.
Love this idea! This is great to always have on hand. So easy, yet so thoughtful! This would be great for a child or teen that's having a bad day. Gonna try this!

Great idea thanx for sharing
That's it, you know. Whatever you can do to alleviate, you do so. Part of a sickness is psychic; fears and anxieties, and worries about its toll on oneself as well as those who are closest to us. Still, a huge part of this is physical, which would really entail a good health service. But what we can do now, we do. Then from there, we do more.

idea! Thanks for sharing!!
God bless!
Don't Quit on the Lord!!!
Love this Idea also. here's another verse you can use. Put choc. kisses together and put : have a "kiss "or FEW from me to You. Give it like it's a Bouquet of flowers. Where the Kisses are put bottom -to- bottom with a stem and leaf on each til you have a Bouquet.
I agree with the anonymous comment above. Hearing "everything happens for a 'riesen'" can be very hurtful during a difficult time. Many of the others care cute, but I caution you about using that one for a friend going through a painful experience.
These are so cute! Thanks so much for sharing them. While you do have to be sensitive to people, "everything happens for a Riesen" can be a very positive thing. For example you sold your house after only a week on the market. Now you will be able to accept that new job. There are many examples of cases that would be appropriate to use that. Just focus on positive things that happen to people when using it and you should be fine!
I love this idea. Had to make one for my daughter. I added some of my own ideas but it works!
I can think of an appropriate occasion for each of these. Thanks a heap.
Just popped over from pinterest (loving your images btw) and thought it would be nice to share your get well soon message and actions as really great ways to shift the focus from the illness to the person and the recovery. Thanks!
