Hello Friends! Thank you for visiting my blog.Let me introduce myself! My name is Mandy Douglass. I live in Utah and I am a Wife, a mother of two boys, a stay at home mom, and a Graphic Designer. I love life and try to find joy in the simple things. As you can see from my blog, I often find excitement in everyday things. Whether it be my family, food, scrapbooking, home decor, or lifestyle crafts, I share them with the world as life changing events.
My background in design started many years ago, when at age 8 I decided to start scrapbooking. I enjoyed bonding with my mom and sisters, as we enjoyed creativity through pictures together. I studied at Utah Valley University and received a degree in Visual Arts & Communications with an emphasis in Graphic Design. I have worked for many companies using design including Pebbles in my Pocket, American Crafts, Creating Keepsakes Magazine, and a contributor for a Utah Lifestyle Television show called Studio 5! I love finding design in everyday things, and although I don't post all my projects on my blog, I share my favorites with you. My priority is my family and my boys, and so if I take breaks from time to time from my blog, it is because my family needs me. Thanks for being understanding.
So you wonder, what else do I do other than spending time with my family, and creating??
Well I LOVE to cook, and have always wanted to be on a cooking show. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to snow and water ski. In fact, I even was a ski instructor in Southern Utah during my Freshmen year in college. I love to run, although I don't get to as much as I would like. I love being with my sisters. I love eating ice cream almost every night. I had my own little motorcycle at age 6. I don't wear a lot of jewelry, however I love to wear makeup & shopping for new outfits!.
All of us experience challenges, and I am not without. I am blind in one eye, and have been for almost 3 years. I often find frustration in the way I have had to change my life through my small handicap. I do however know that God has a plan for me, and I am so grateful for all I have learned through my adversities.
Thank you for visiting my blog. I would love to hear from you. Please email me at:
