It's official!

I have gone nuts! LITERALLY! So much has been going on in our lives lately, and it is all I can do to sit down and actually concentrate on one thing. So I really meant to post more for National Scrapbooking Day, but with everything we have going on right now ... I will just count this as my celebration ... almost one week late ... for NSD!

Tonight is scrapbook night ... and so I thought I would bring you along, with how I prepare for my crops.

I used to bring everything I owned in different laundry baskets, and by the time I sat down to actually scrapbook ... I was so tired from lifting everything in ... that I didn't accomplish much. Those days are over ... and I have set aside my whole day (or two hours while Bryson naps) to prepare for tonight!

First ... I have been doing CK project, Mother's day projects, and all sorts of things this past week ... so the most important area to start on is cleaning my office. Whoever invented the swiffer duster should be sent to heaven. This little bad boy changed my life! I actually like to dust ... and not only that ... Bryson LOVES to carry one around too and help mommy dust! It is SO cute :)

Next ... I pull out last months crop stuff and see what I didn't finish. I am working on Bryson's first year and would like to have it done by the time the baby comes ... ha ha ha :) I don't think it will happen, but I sure am trying! I created a sheet with blank sketch pages on it so I can sketch out the pages I want to accomplish for his book. That way I can develop all the pictures I want to use that night in the sizes I want to use them in.
I guess it would just be a lot easier if we just held the crop at my house. Seeing that I share my office with Bryson ... I don't think that would work with us women, laughing and carrying on and Bryson trying to sleep :)

Last, I gather all my supplies and hope to come up with a few nice pages for the evening. Here are a few of the pages I have done for Brysons book. At some point I would love to share my entire baby book idea with you all ... but until I actually get around to doing it ... here is a sneak peek!

And don't forget to check out Page 54 in the June issue of CK for my favorite page of Bryson's book so far!

The LO in the June CK was adorable. Oddly I started scrapping long before I had kids and assumed I would do something similar...however when the time came I was very camera shy (just felt far to huge for the lens!). Your LO is adorable. Great to encourage others to document this time.

Thanks for sharing the LO's for Bryson's first year. Can't wait to see the finished product. I hope you don't mind that I am scrap lifting a couple of your ideas. I just love the page about you and your husband as babies. I am going to do one like that for my daughters book as well. Thanks!
