Living Room Botanical Wall

So I have told you about my mom before, but I thought I might just brag a little more about the amazing person she is. She really is the most talented woman I know and can do more with her pinky, than most people can do with their entire body.

Along with being super crafty, she is an amazing Watercolor Artist. I have tried to figure out the perfect space in my house for years to put some of her amazing paintings, and finally found the perfect spot in my living room.

It just took a trip to Ikea to make it happen for the frames.

I have seen a lot of people use Botanical prints in frames clumped together like this, but who really can say that their mom painted them ?

I have decided to scan all of the prints and give you all a chance to use some too!

Anniversary weekend

7 Years ago, today I married the most lovable, amazing, incredible guy you have ever met. Adam is so hardworking and has sacrificed so much for our little family.

This weekend was such a memorable one for us. My parents took the kids overnight, and Adam took the day off on Friday so we could finally spend some time together. The past two years has been so hard on us. School and work full time is not an easy thing. Some days, I literally said goodbye at 6:00 in the morning, and didn't see him until 11:00 that night. It was so fun to rekindle what we started 7 years ago! Here is what our weekend has been:

1. Breakfast at Magelbys fresh in Provo.
2. Drop off the kids at my parents house.
3. Drive to Salt Lake and saw Bourne Legacy.
4. Checked into the Grand America Hotel.
5. Went to dinner at Tucanos.
6. Back to the hotel ... swimming!
7. Next morning Breakfast and City Creek.
8. Followed by another movie, Batman
9. Picking up the kids.
10. Enjoyed spending the whole Sunday together.
11. Dinner at Cafe Rio with our kids.
12. Snowcones....
13. And to top it all off ... 2 Dozen long stemmed roses.

SERIOUSLY! I was definitely spoiled this weekend. I love you so much Adam and can't wait for the many years of memories to come!

Refurbish for the Restroom!

A few weeks back I finally got some cute new towels, rugs, and a shower curtain for my Master Bathroom. The counters were looking a little bare, and I needed a cute accessory. I decided to see first what I had before I went to the store to buy something new. I found this in my basement and decided to dress it up. 

Here is the before:

Now the new colors in my bathroom are Grey, Red, Turquoise & White. Target made it super easy!

(I know, super cute huh!)

Seeing that I had the red candle, I wanted to try and use it! 

I spray painted the candlestick white, Added some burlap, Ribbon, a ric-rac flower and some 

felt flowers. And here is the finished product:

I am really thrilled with how it turned out ... and how fast it turned around the counter in my bathroom. Just a little paint on the walls,  a few watercolors from my mom, and the bathroom will be ready to reveal!

Breakfast yum

One of my favorite things to eat for breakfast I thought I would share with you today! A little yogurt, I like Stonyfield french vanilla for a little sweeter taste, but today I'm trying chobani vanilla for 2x the protein, not as sweet, but still good.

Then I add fruit, today's choices are fresh strawberries, blueberries, and peaches from my tree. Bananas are often good too! Then a handful of raw oats, and a few pecans! YUMMMMM! You have to try it! It will change your life!
