5 YEARS!!!

Adam and I celebrated our 5 year Anniversary on the 20th. I can't believe that it has been 5 whole years of bliss. Sometimes when I tell people how we met, and about our lives, I feel like I am telling people a fairy tale. Marriage is marriage ... somedays are hard, and others are the best days ever ... but I will tell you what, I would never change a thing. I am more in love with this man than the day I laid eyes on him at IHOP. Happy 5 years babe! I love you more than you're ever know!

Adam surprised me and took me on a fabulous little overnight getaway. He even got my sister to babysit! We started out at the Park City outlet malls where he let me go and shop for a little while. He told me that this was my gift, and what a perfect gift it was. He really is starting to understand me after 5 years :)

Next was to Park City Mountain Resort where we went on the Alpine Coaster. The description on the website was this: The elevated track winds you through more than a mile of loops, curves and hair-pin curves at speeds up to 30 mph. Just like your favorite roller coaster - but with the refreshing mountain scenery of Park City.
It was SO much fun. I would do it again in a heart beat!

Next was a great dinner at my favorite restaurant in Park City ... the Baja Cantina (which is also at Park City resort!)

Last was a little 20 minute ride to Midway, Utah where we stayed at the Zermatt Resort. (Adam's company built it a few years back). Midway is a little town that is surrounded by a Swiss theme. All the architecture is based around Swiss buildings and interior design. It is just SO much fun. Thanks a ton Babe! I had a blast!

Here we go

Adam started his MBA program. So what does this mean for us?

Adam working full time, and school full time ...

We won't get to see much of him for two years ...

We already miss him like crazy ...

We are SO proud of him ...

Counting down the days until he is the holder of a Masters in Business from the University of Utah.

Please tell me we can do this :)

Promised Projects

Hi Blogging friends. Here are the projects from CKC that I promised I would post.

I taught three classes ... Dimensional Scrapbooking, and two album classes ... Life's Lyrics & Simple Summer Album. I emailed some of the staff from CKC and asked about posting these projects. I didn't design them so I can't take one bit of credit. They were fine as long as I only posted a few pages. With the Dimensional Scrapbooking class, it was only a two page layout, so I didn't think it would be very good to post that one ... but I will post the others ones, because they were SO cute!!

First : Life's Lyrics
The concept behind this album was to choose lyrics that are centered around your favorite songs. I chose to use lyrics that have significance in my life. Here are a few pages and a few of the songs that really have had an impact on my life! Here are the list of songs I chose and why:
1. Mandy - Barry Manilow - I was named after this song :)
2. You're the Inspiration - Chicago - I sang this song word for word as a 3 year old little girl, at the top of my lungs, in the back of our family Suburban.
3. Time of your life - Green Day - High school ... need I say more!
4. A call I hear - Peter Brienholt - I served an LDS mission in Upstate New York and this was one of my favorite songs that explains missionary work to a "T".
5. Broken Road - Rascal Flatts - This is me and Adam's song!
6. Kingdom Come - Coldplay - This is me and Adam's favorite Band. We got to see them in Concert in Nov. of 2008!
9. My Wish - Rascal Flatts - Everything I hope my little boys to have in their life!

Music is one thing other than design has had a huge impact on me. I am so excited to have done this album. It was well designed and an even more fun concept!

Simple Summer Album

The concept is behind this album is Vacation. It came in a little pack with all the paper included and a GREAT color pallet. I chose to use the pictures from our cruise as my inspiration. Here are the picts!
I absolutely loved creating this album and if there is a CKC near to your house the next few months, be sure to stop by to take these cute classes!

Valley Forge, Pennsylvania

I was asked to attend the Valley Forge Pennsylvania CKC (Creating Keepasakes Convention). A few weeks back I received a box full of supplies and class projects to prepare, i made my flight, and away I went!

I taught a group of about 350 people how to make a few pages at the Sketch Crop on Thursday evening. Then spent my entire day from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm teaching classes on Friday and Saturday. Some of those classes include ... a Dimensional Scrapbooking Class, a Simple Summer Album Class, and a life's Lyric's Class. (pictures of the cute projects from the classes are soon to come!)
I had a fabulous time meeting some awesome women and teaching some great classes. I had teacher aids (a few of which were willing to clean blue ink off of stamps. We became the "blue man crew!") One of my favorites was Teri Anderson who is one of the Paper Crafts Pro's. We bunked up for the duration of the show and I really enjoyed getting to know her. She is a fabulous designer and an even more fabulous person! I also met a darling woman who told me to call her "I" that went to BYU and became my buddy for the duration of the convention. The classes were all day long, and I have to say it was exhausting, but all & all it was great. Although I missed Adam and the boys more than you know, it sure was nice to have a mommy break.
On Saturday night I met up with a few girls from Upstate New York that I hadn't seen in 8 years. I served an LDS full time mission in Upstate and was able to teach the gospel to these fine ladies. We went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and visited until I could hardly keep my eyes open. Thanks Staci, Traci, and Jamie for making the 5 hour trek to come and see me!
I only was able to see the great city of Philadelphia from a great distance on my way to the airport ... So I guess I shouldn't say I went to Philadelphia ... But it sure was fun to visit the east for the first time in over 5 years. I am EXHAUSTED, but it was well worth it!

Philadelphia!!!

So on Thursday morning I flew to Philadelphia for CKC (Creating Keepsakes Conventions). I was hoping to tell you all about it before I left, but with the way life goes, and the deadlines that were placed upon me with work before I left, I didn't get a chance. I was planning on updating you all on my layover home, but it looks like I got the wrong cord for my camera and can't upload my pictures. I will work on it tomorrow and get back to you soon! Hope you're all enjoying your summer!
