On July 11th, we met together south of Mountain View High School for an afternoon picnic, and then to UVU for a formal dinner. It was so fun to see all of those great friends who have left an imprint in my life.
Somedays I look back and think ... man I don't miss the drama, the dating dilemmas, and school work ... but then I look at the clock and see that I haven't showered and it is noon, and wonder what I have done with my day, and why it was so hard to be in high school. No responsibility, no worries, your parents bought your school cloths (at least mine did :), and loads of time to do whatever you wanted without having to drag a few kids with you. As much as then looked so much more fun than some days in my house, I have to admit, that I would never change my life. I have to remember that in high school, the life I am living now was what I had always dreamed of having.
I have never been one that has loved every minute of here and now. I am always looking to what is next and how it will be better than the present. I think going back to my high school reunion did one thing for me ... and that is to enjoy every second of your life, because it passes far too quickly. There area few that have passed away, good friends, and others just acquaintances, but either way I am sad their life experiences were cut short. My challenge for my self and to all you readers, is to enjoy today like it was your last ... and let it change your life! Here's to the GLORY DAYS of cheering at football games, and for all you old time scrapbookers ... here is a page from the past!
